Hi, I am Robin Amorello, the designer of this kitchen. I am a bit put off by the comment of it feeling cold. I believe this assumption comes from the artificial lighting provided during the magazine shoot. Having spent this last Saturday manning a Kitchen Tour in this home, I can assure you that the reality is not only warm and homey, but evoked 500+ guests to want to set up camp and move in ; )
Well the lighting may be the issue. Having manned hundreds of photoshoots at Pottery Barn, I can see how that could be the case. But for me it's the combination of the wall color, the stone and the cabinet hardware. It's just my personal opinion. I think it's gorgeous, I would just like to warm it up with some patina.
